BRINGING ORDER TO YOUR GARAGE
| February 10, 2016The garage can be a messy place in every house. De-cluttering your garage consumes a lot of time and energy however, it is always worth it with the convenience that comes with it. Arranging your garage is a delicate task as, a lot of details need attention when arranging your garage. Where everything in your garage goes does not naturally come. There are items that you simply cannot get rid of and items that do not go anywhere else in the house except for the garage. These items are very difficult to deal with. Although, it is not an impossible task. Bringing order to your garage begins with possessing the knowledge of the items in the garage, segregating them into respective groups and finally arranging them in the perfect order. The items in your garage can be segregated into five broad categories.
TOOLS
Tools are one of the items found in every garage. Tools can be easily misplaced and we end up having to replace the tools instead of actually looking for it. Tools include hammers, wrenches, tool boxes, nails and screws etc. Best way to arrange these tools are on a pegboard on the wall. Drilling nails or hooks onto the pegboard or building a section of shelf on the pegboard and placing the tools according to size or frequency of use or hanging the tools on the nails or hooks in the same order helps save space and is convenient.
GARDENING
The garage is a great place to store your gardening tools, however, it can get very troublesome if not arranged properly. Gardening tools include hoses, flower pots, gardening gloves, rakes, etc. Gardening tools are conveniently arranged on free standing racks or free hooks. Other gardening supplies as hoses and soil may be stored on shelves within reach.
MACHINEEQUIPMENT
Machine equipment refers to the spare parts, motor oil, and other vehicle related items. Machine equipment may be stored on small cupboards that need to be installed in the garage to hold equipment. Cupboards may take up considerably more space however, cupboards can store a lot of items that need to be locked at all times providing the safety and security that is required.
SPORTS EQUIPMENT
Sports equipment can be arranged neatly and conveniently on sports rack which are easily available. Sports equipment may be arranged on wall shelves as well.
MISCELLANEOUS
All garages have a miscellaneous section. It is important to keep in mind that the miscellaneous section stays relevant as well. Miscellaneous section includes those items which does not group into any of the above categories, however, they are items used in the garage. It includes gloves, boots, cleaners, newspapers, dustpans, etc.
